What to do after watching Dungeon Meshi?

If, like me, you're struggling to fill the gaping hole left by Dungeon Meshi, then I've got you covered.

In this featured section, I'll share where you can continue the manga from and 3 anime that I personally find similar to Dungeon Meshi.

Pick up the Manga:

If you're interested in picking up the manga, you can start from Chapter 53.

The anime adapted the first 52 chapters, and the good news is that the manga has already concluded, with a total of 97 chapters.

However, I would strongly suggest starting from the beginning of the manga.

The anime skipped a good amount of content, especially details about Senshi's past, due to time constraints.

The manga is also filled with various lore-expanding comments and illustrations by the author.

Similar Anime Recommendations:

Dungeon Meshi is, regrettably, one-of-a-kind. That means it doesn't have something that directly resembles it, but these are some anime that do manage to capture some aspects of it:

  1. Golden Kamuy

Golden Kamuy is probably the closest thing to Dungeon Meshi in my opinion. It's an amalgamation of an interesting plot with a grandeur goal, dorky characters with great chemistry, a lot of humour, with some weird cooking involved.

  1. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill

This anime, produced by MAPPA, follows Mukouda Tsuyoshi, a man summoned to a fantasy world with the unique ability to instantly order food and other products from JapanIt's supermarket. It’s a lighthearted and charming adventure with a focus on culinary delights.

  1. Made in Abyss

Made in Abyss is one of the most popular anime, known for its immersive worldbuilding and captivating soundtrack.

However, it's not a show for the faint of heart.

The story follows Riko, a young girl who descends into the mysterious Abyss in search of her mother, encountering both wonders and horrors along the way.

Here's a fun fact: Did you know that Marcile changed her hairstyle 36 times throughout the anime adaptation?

Shocking, right? I noticed six or seven variations but didn't realize there were changing so frequently.

Thanks to Reddit user /Ocixo for spotting them. You can view all the different hairstyles here.

That’s all for this coverage. If you have any questions, queries or suggestions then simply just reply to this email, and I will reach back to you soon.

Well till then
